Alcohol Awareness Month

April is Alcohol Awareness Month.  

April 3rd and 4th - The Regional Prevention Center is hosting a two-day conference on Gateway Drugs at the Maysville Confernce Center.  Thursday, April 3rd: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm; Friday, April 4th - 8:30 am - 2:30 pm.  Please call the RPC at 759-7799 to reserve a spot.

Autism Awareness and Child Abuse Awareness Month

April is Autism Awareness and Child Abuse Awareness month.  Children’s Services has several events happening and we would love your support.  Below is a list of the events.

Friday, March 28 -  Comprehend Child Abuse and Neglect Awareness -  to show your support please put a blue pinwheel in your yard.  Let Goldie Williams know if you would like one.

Monday, March 31 - Comprehend Blue Balloon Release –  at noon in front of the new Courthouse in Maysville to create awareness of importance of prevention of child abuse and neglect.

April – Light it Up Blue Event - blue lights will be shown throughout our area in recognition of Autism Awareness month.  Join us in lighting up your home, business, and school, house of worship or website the color blue.

Monday, April 1 - The Buffalo Trace Autism Support Group is hosting Understanding Puberty in Autism in the ACT Building from 6 to 8 pm

Friday April 4 - Comprehend Child Abuse Prevention Day – Wear Blue Day as a reminder to others to prevent child neglect and abuse.
